Columbian Senior Advisory Service is a partnership of Columbian Retirement Home, Inc and Senior Care Solutions. Below is information on both organizations.

Senior Care Solutions has been in business for over 12 years after Carol Kinsel, owner, had a life-changing experience while caring for her father who had Alzheimer's Disease. This experience lead to a dedication and passion that has assisted thousands of seniors and their families find the right senior care in the Sacramento Area and now throughout California.

Our professional, compassionate team of five family consultants has over 40 years experience in the senior care field. This team is made up of dedicated individuals who have worked in all levels of senior care from in home care to skilled nursing, have an intimate knowledge of the different care settings and have many years of education in the field of gerontology and care management.

Columbian Retirement Home Inc.

Columbian Retirement Home Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1976 for public benefit and charitable purposes by the California State Council of the Knights of Columbus. The purpose is to provide reasonably priced housing for elderly Knights, and for others who would find comfort in a faith-based setting. CRH raised funds to purchase a former convent in Marysville, and opened the 20-room Columbian Retirement Center in 1986. The Center now celebrates 25-years of service, providing furnished rooms, housekeeping services and home-style meals in Marysville's historic downtown village.

In 2010, CRH expanded its services to help Knights find appropriate retirement housing in any community of their choice. This expansion follows two tracks.

1. CRH has opened its new "Columbian Senior Advisory Service" under contract with the professional staff at Senior Care Solutions. This service provides individualized counseling on senior care choices and referrals to housing opportunities.
2. CRH has prescreened "Preferred Referrals" who operate fine-quality senior housing facilities. Preferred Referrals offer a combination of independent and assisted living apartments, skilled nursing and dementia care, available to seniors of all faiths. The facilities are located in Northern, Central and Southern California, in both urban and rural settings. The Preferred Referrals offer discounts and incentives for Knights and others who are referred through CRH's Columbian Senior Advisory Service.

CRH is committed to helping member Knights, their immediate families and others navigate through the sometimes confusing array of senior services and housing now available in California.
